Mould Removal Kits
V-TUF Mould Removal Kits — Compliant Remediation from Starter to Contractor Scale
Mould removal is not a surface clean and repaint. Under COSHH 2002, mould is a Hazard Group 2 biological agent — and any cleaning or vacuuming of mould-affected surfaces must use H-Class extraction with H14 HEPA filtration to prevent spores becoming airborne. A contractor who wipes mould off a wall with a cloth and repaints is not carrying out remediation — they are redistributing spores into the indoor environment and setting up a repeat visit.
V-TUF mould removal kits are built around the UKCMS Mould-Safe Code — the benchmark that housing associations, local authorities and procurement frameworks are increasingly specifying. Each kit includes the extraction equipment, the treatment chemistry and the personal protection for the operative.
Three kit levels
- Starter pack — for small domestic mould patches. Surface treatment, PPE and basic equipment for homeowners and small landlords dealing with isolated mould spots.
- Advanced pack — for larger affected areas in domestic and private rented properties. Adds H-Class extraction for compliant surface vacuuming before treatment.
- Contractor pack — the full COSHH and UKCMS compliant specification for remediation contractors working in social housing, housing association and local authority properties. H-Class extraction, air scrubber, full PPE and professional treatment chemicals.
The legal framework
Awaab's Law Phase 2 takes effect 30 November 2026 — extending the statutory timescale framework for mould remediation in social housing. HHSRS 2026 Hazard 18 makes indoor air pollutants including mould spores an inspectable and enforceable hazard. The contractor and landlord who cannot demonstrate compliant remediation — H-Class extraction, documented process, follow-up inspection — face a materially worse liability position than those who can.
