H-Class 110V — Maximum Filtration at Site-Safe Reduced Voltage
110V reduced voltage is the standard power supply on UK construction sites — mandated by most principal contractors as a site safety requirement. H-Class 110V machines bring the maximum H14 HEPA filtration standard to the construction site environment, where the highest hazard dusts — asbestos disturbed during refurbishment, silica at concentrations above M-Class capacity, mould in remediation of occupied properties — require H-Class containment at site voltage.
The construction site H-Class requirement
On a construction site where 110V is mandated and H-Class extraction is required — licensed asbestos removal, high-silica dust above M-Class capacity, or mould remediation of an occupied property — the 110V H-Class machine is the only compliant specification. A 240V H-Class machine used via a step-up transformer is generally not accepted as site-safe. The machine must be rated 110V natively.
